Food was offered but we (my husbands and I) declined as we were both in trauma over my accident, losing the end of my middle finger.
We were treated with the kindest, caring respect, not only whilst there but also arranging my appointment
with UHC pre op ward 52.
I would like to mention Rosie and Anna who attended to me who were both very professional and caring and gave me first class care. This made my traumatic day so much better as I felt respected and valued.
I really am so glad to be able to voice my gratitude to them, their dedication is as wonderful as they themselves are. Thank you.
My finger will heal well, I only lost my fingernail but didnt need an operation. I was seen by a Dr who examined my finger, I did not catch his name, I am grateful for him being able to see me as quickly as he did knowing just how busy DRs are at weekends. Again thank you.
Friendly team, clean facilities, obviously a busy department but made time for each patient and listened - slick service and great team
Amazing nurses and doctors who took fantastic care of our 11 month old. Couldn’t have asked for more, they were truly kind, compassionate and caring!
Fantastic service from staff, all so lovely.
Everyone was caring and reassuring. The ambulance arrived in record time and the crew were very efficient and thorough. They were kind and helpful right through to admissions . There seemed to be only one doctor on duty, it was Sunday evening. He was rushed off his feet but never took a short cut to give me a thorough examination and tests.
The lady that did my X-ray helped me take my necklace off & then put it back on for me.
Having arrived in A&E with my 1 year old child, who had a fever of 40.9 and breathing difficulties, I was aghast to see that not only did I have to wait an hour to be triaged, but that two members of public in the custody of police, clearly time wasting and stalling getting to custody, were seen before my child. In what world does a grown adult criminal take priority over a 1 year old baby with a dangerously high fever and breathing issues take priority?! Following a long wait, we were finally seen by a doctor who neglected to look in my child’s ears, throat etc for sign of infection. We were instead monitored whilst his temperature dropped. After challenging the lack of interest in the underlying cause of the fever which had persisted for 5 days, the doctor returned and suggested it was likely due to him teething!!
Excellent care
Arrived at minor injuries at 8.15pm saw first
dr at approximately 1.15am. No triage.
Painkillers given then
Staff very considerate.
I went in to A&E with an eye problem. I was advised to go to the Minor Injuries Unit. The receptionist was kind and helpful. Within less than 5 minutes I saw a nurse and then a doctor. I was referred to UHCW, where I was seen this morning. It was all very impressive.
The Dr we saw was very sharp, kind and treated me as an intelligent person. She listened to my chest and said oh dear and then prescribed a nebuliser plus neb steroids, took bloods etc She was very thorough and I felt safe with her.
